Yes. On sound wood like attic sheathing, rafters and rim joists, we clean and treat the surface first and then seal it with an antimicrobial coating. It avoids tearing out framing that's still structurally fine.
A small spot on a hard surface, under about 10 square feet, is usually fine to clean yourself. Anything bigger, anything on drywall or inside a wall, or anything that keeps coming back should be looked at. Our assessment is free.
