What happened in Hobart
This Hobart basement was approved for mold remediation in September 2026. The crew documented it with 12 photos taken on September 24 and October 7.
In the finished basement, a strip of drywall was cut out along the top of the exterior wall, where the wall meets the ceiling, to open up the rim joist area. The exposed joists, rim board and subfloor showed dark mold staining. A crew member treated the opening with a spray wand from the floor.
The October photos show the room, the hallway and a closet, with the rest of the finished space left intact.
