What happened in Wausaukee
CCS answered this water emergency in Wausaukee in September 2024 and documented it with 58 photos. The set here is from October 2.
The water affected a bedroom with wood-look flooring, a bathroom with a tile floor and wood vanity, and a room with knotty pine walls. Blue air movers were running in the bedroom and the bathroom. A moisture meter was set on the floor tile and the vinyl plank at the base of the walls and the cabinets, and along the bottom of the drywall.
In several spots the ceiling had been cut open, and the crew held the meter up to the framing and the drywall edges around each opening, where wiring and a white vent pipe run through. Checking the ceiling as well as the floor shows whether the water came from above, such as a plumbing line in the ceiling, and whether the ceiling cavity needs drying too.
