What happened in Green Bay
CCS handled this kitchen water damage and build-back job in Green Bay. The project was opened on March 26, 2024, and the photos here are from March 28.
The water came through the kitchen ceiling. A large section of drywall had been cut out over the kitchen, exposing the ceiling joists, the wiring and the light fixture box. The kitchen below has white cabinets, a stainless range and a wood-topped island, and the floor was covered with plastic and drop cloths. Air movers were set on the floor, and the removed ceiling drywall was bagged on the protected floor.
The photos show the opening from several angles across the kitchen. When water comes through a ceiling from a bathroom or a pipe above, the wet drywall has to come down so the joist space can dry, and the ceiling is patched and refinished as part of the build-back.
