What happened in De Pere
CCS answered this water emergency in De Pere in mid-December 2024 and documented it with 197 photos. The set here is from December 18 and 19.
On the first day an air mover was running in a hallway lined with doors, with the carpet already pulled up. By December 19 the flooring was out in the affected rooms, leaving the OSB subfloor bare. Along several walls the bottom of the drywall had been cut out, exposing the studs and the bottom plates, and a moisture meter was set on the subfloor at the base of each wall and inside the open bays. Some of the readings were taken next to carpet that was still down in the next room.
In one room a section of the ceiling had been opened, and a crew member held the meter up to the drywall and framing around the opening to check whether water had come from above. Readings at both the floor and the ceiling help find the source and how far the water spread.
