What happened in Shawano
CCS answered this water emergency in Shawano on October 29, 2024, and documented it with 112 photos. The set here is from November 5.
The water reached rooms with wood-look plank flooring, a laundry area and a room where the floor had already been taken up to the subfloor. A sink cabinet was open with its base removed, and a dehumidifier sat next to it. Air movers and a dehumidifier were running in several spots.
A crew member worked around each room with a moisture meter, pressing it onto the plank flooring along the walls, at the cabinet base and at the edge of the stairs, and setting it on the bare subfloor at the base of the walls where the baseboards had been taken off. A week into a water job, these readings show which floors and walls are dry and which still need the equipment.
