What happened in De Pere
CCS answered this basement water emergency in De Pere on April 4, 2024, and took 51 photos that day.
The basement is partly finished, with some walls framed and drywalled and others still open to the studs and the insulated foundation. Water had spread across the concrete floor, and wet patches and puddles still showed around the stored items and along the walls. At a finished section, the drywall at the floor was cut and pulled back.
The crew set blue air movers and dehumidifiers through the space and ran hoses across the floor, and stored boxes, furniture and equipment were moved off the wettest areas. The photos go around the basement from the utility corner to the far end so the starting condition is on record. Getting water off a basement floor and air moving the same day keeps it from soaking into the framing and drywall.
