What happened in River East
This job in the River East area of Oshkosh started with contaminated toilet water that leaked down into the rooms below. Water like that is treated as unsanitary, so anything porous it soaked into has to come out.
The photos from October 2023 show the damaged drywall around a fixture, sections of ceiling opened up to expose the joists, and the stained framing above. Once the wet and contaminated materials were removed, the crew cleaned and disinfected the exposed wood and set up air movers and a dehumidifier to dry the space.
The later photos show the room stripped back with equipment running along the walls. The homeowner had worked with CCS before and called again when this happened. A job like this is cleanup first and rebuild second, and getting the drying right is what keeps mold out of the framing.
