What happened in Kaukauna

The water reached a lower level with a bedroom, a bathroom and an unfinished utility side. The floor covering had been pulled in the bathroom and the hall, exposing the concrete and the subfloor patches, and the toilet was still in place. A moisture meter was set in the corners at the base of the walls, and blue drying equipment was running in the bathroom.

The crew also recorded the air temperature and humidity with a thermo-hygrometer in several spots: the utility area by the framing, the bathroom, the stairway and outdoors for comparison. Comparing indoor and outdoor humidity shows whether the drying equipment is pulling the basement air down to where materials can finish drying.
