“Jamie was very professional from the start and was prompt on getting the wet damaged carpet removed and everything dried out. I was very impressed and he explained everything in detail. He worked with my insurance to make sure there was an accurate assessment of the damages and spent a lot of time on his own going back and forth with my insurance agent. Very trustworthy and I would recommend them 100% you will be more than satisfied.”

What happened in Green Bay

This Green Bay basement took on water in March 2022, and the carpet across the lower level was soaked. The homeowner found CCS on Google.

Jamie got the wet carpet and pad out quickly and set up air movers and a dehumidifier to dry the slab and the bottom of the walls. The photos show the bare floor in the main room and the closets, contents moved off the floor in the storage area, and the equipment running along the paneled wall.

He also worked directly with the homeowner's insurance company so the damage was assessed accurately, going back and forth with the agent until it was settled. That part of a water job takes time, and it's a big reason people call a restoration company instead of tackling it themselves.

Work performed

  • Wet carpet and pad removed
  • Contents moved

Water damage questions, answered

Does CCS Property Services do water damage in Green Bay?

Yes. This project was in Green Bay, WI 54304, and our crews work throughout Green Bay and the surrounding area. Our Green Bay office is about 4 miles away. This is one of 51 water damage projects we've published from Green Bay. Phones are answered 24/7 for emergencies.

What should I do in the first hour after a water leak?

Shut off the water at the main valve if you can, and turn off power to any wet area if it's safe to reach the panel. Move valuables and furniture off wet floors, take photos for insurance, and call a restoration company. Don't use a household vacuum on standing water.

How fast can CCS get to my home?

Phones are answered 24/7. In most cases we can have a crew on site within about an hour of your call for active water emergencies in the Green Bay area.

Does homeowners insurance cover water damage in Wisconsin?

Most policies cover sudden and accidental water damage, like a burst pipe or an appliance failure. Damage from long-term leaks or neglect usually isn't covered, and flooding from surface water typically needs separate flood coverage. Sump pump backup is often an add-on endorsement. We document the loss and work directly with your adjuster.

How long does it take to dry out a flooded basement?

Most structures dry in three to five days with professional equipment, depending on how much water there was, what materials got wet and the weather. We check moisture readings daily and only pull equipment when readings confirm it's dry.

Will I get mold after water damage?

Mold can start growing within 24 to 48 hours on wet drywall, wood and carpet. Fast extraction and drying is what prevents it, which is why we treat water damage as an emergency.

Do you handle the repairs too?

Yes. We dry out the structure and then rebuild what was removed, so you deal with one company from the first call to the finished room.
