What happened in West De Pere

This West De Pere home had water get into a finished basement with wood wainscoting and carpet in March 2022. The homeowner found CCS on Google and approved the work.

Part of the floor had a hard surface that the crew cleaned and dried. In the carpeted rooms, they lifted the carpet off the pad and floated it with air movers blowing underneath, so air could reach the pad and the slab. The photos show the carpet ballooned up off the floor with the equipment running along the paneled walls.

Floating carpet only works when the water is clean and the drying starts quickly. When it does, the carpet can often be saved and relaid, which keeps the cost down.
