What happened in Appleton
CCS responded to this commercial water loss in Appleton in March 2025. The project was opened on March 21 and has 115 photos, including a full round of readings on March 26.
The water reached several guest rooms on more than one floor. In each room the crew took readings in two ways. A thermo-hygrometer recorded the air temperature and humidity, and a pin-style moisture meter was pressed into the carpet and against the bottom of the walls. In some rooms the carpet had been pulled back to the tack strip, exposing the pad and the floor along the wall, and the meter was held right at the wall base and below the outlets.
In a building with many rooms, logging the readings room by room keeps the drying on track and shows which spaces are dry enough to go back into use.
