What happened in Amberg

CCS opened this water damage job in Amberg on July 3, 2025, and has 56 photos on file. The most recent set, shown here, was taken on July 1, 2026.

The work centers on an upstairs room built under the roofline, with sloped ceilings and short knee walls. New wood-look plank flooring was going down across the room. In some spots it was finished, and in others the OSB subfloor was still bare where the old flooring had come up. The knee wall access openings were open, and the insulation behind one sloped wall had been pulled loose.

The photos follow the room from end to end, including the corners by the knee walls and the floor hatches that open into the space below the eaves. Under-roof rooms like this can collect water from a roof or window leak, and the low corners are where it soaks into the floor first.

Work performed

  • Water emergency response
  • Old flooring removed to the subfloor
  • New plank flooring installed
  • Knee wall spaces opened and checked

Water damage questions, answered

Does CCS Property Services do water damage in Amberg?

Yes. This project was in Amberg, WI 54102, and our crews work throughout Amberg and the surrounding area. Our Green Bay office is about 69 miles away. Phones are answered 24/7 for emergencies.

What should I do in the first hour after a water leak?

Shut off the water at the main valve if you can, and turn off power to any wet area if it's safe to reach the panel. Move valuables and furniture off wet floors, take photos for insurance, and call a restoration company. Don't use a household vacuum on standing water.

How fast can CCS get to my home?

Phones are answered 24/7. In most cases we can have a crew on site within about an hour of your call for active water emergencies in the Green Bay area.

Does homeowners insurance cover water damage in Wisconsin?

Most policies cover sudden and accidental water damage, like a burst pipe or an appliance failure. Damage from long-term leaks or neglect usually isn't covered, and flooding from surface water typically needs separate flood coverage. Sump pump backup is often an add-on endorsement. We document the loss and work directly with your adjuster.

How long does it take to dry out a flooded basement?

Most structures dry in three to five days with professional equipment, depending on how much water there was, what materials got wet and the weather. We check moisture readings daily and only pull equipment when readings confirm it's dry.

Will I get mold after water damage?

Mold can start growing within 24 to 48 hours on wet drywall, wood and carpet. Fast extraction and drying is what prevents it, which is why we treat water damage as an emergency.

Do you handle the repairs too?

Yes. We dry out the structure and then rebuild what was removed, so you deal with one company from the first call to the finished room.
