What happened in Manitowoc
CCS answered this water emergency in Manitowoc on July 23, 2025, and took 23 photos over two days.
The water was in a finished basement with berber carpet. On the first day the carpet was pulled back from the walls to the tack strip, and blue air movers were set to blow along the edges. Moisture readings were taken at the base of the walls in each corner.
On July 24 the crew came back for another round. A thermo-hygrometer recorded the conditions in the unfinished utility area by the water lines and drain pipes, where some of the lower wall had been opened. Extraction hoses ran through the room, and the meter was pressed into the carpet and pad across the floor to find the wet spots. A pointer marked damp concrete next to the paneled wall. Taking readings on back-to-back days shows whether the carpet and pad are drying or need to come out.
