What happened in Green Bay
This Green Bay job, approved in May 2022, involved heavy black mold on the inside of the exterior walls. The drywall was already off, so the photos show the problem plainly: dark growth covering the sheathing between the studs from floor to ceiling.
The crew suited up in full protective gear, then cleaned and treated the sheathing and framing bay by bay. The photos show them working along the long wall and around the window and door openings, with the open studs on both sides of the room.
Growth this heavy on sheathing usually means warm, damp indoor air reached the cold side of the wall for a long time, often with no vapor barrier in place. Cleaning the wood and getting the wall assembly right before new drywall goes up keeps it from coming back.
