What happened in Green Bay
This Green Bay attic had mold on the roof boards and was treated in May 2022. The homeowner found CCS on Google and approved the work.
The photos look up at the underside of the roof: wood trusses over blown-in insulation, with dark staining on the sheathing along the slopes and near the peak. The crew worked down the length of the attic with lights and treated the sheathing and truss members with an antimicrobial.
Most attic mold in this area comes from warm, moist air leaking up from the house through ceiling gaps, light fixtures and bath fans that vent into the attic. Fixing those leaks and making sure the soffit and ridge vents are clear keeps the roof boards dry.
