What happened in Fisk Addition
This Fisk Addition home in Green Bay had mold under the floor, in the crawlspace below the living space. The work was approved in June 2022 after a broker referral.
The photos show the underside of the house: the old plank subfloor, the floor joists and the beams, with white and dark growth across the wood and around the wiring and pipes. The crew worked through the space with lights, cleaned the framing and treated the wood with an antimicrobial.
Crawlspaces in older homes around Green Bay often have bare soil and little airflow, so moisture stays trapped under the floor. A vapor barrier over the ground and some ventilation, or a dehumidifier, keeps the wood dry after the cleanup.
