What happened in Fisk Addition
This Fisk Addition home in Green Bay had mold in an unfinished basement with block walls and old wood shelving. The homeowner found CCS on Google and approved the work in July 2022.
The photos show the storage area along the block walls, where the shelving frames and the floor had dark staining and growth. The crew cleared the area, ran a HEPA vacuum over the surfaces, set an air mover to keep air moving, and treated the block, the floor and the wood framing with an antimicrobial.
Wood shelving built tight against a block wall is a common spot for mold, because the wall stays cool and damp and the wood soaks it up. Leaving a few inches of space behind shelves, and running a dehumidifier in summer, helps a lot.
