What happened in Hobart
CCS answered this water emergency in Hobart on July 8, 2024. The job went on to include build-back and has 174 photos. The set here is from the first day.
The water spread through a finished basement with a bedroom, a family room with a projection screen, and a bar area. By the end of the first visit the flooring was coming up, and in places the concrete was bare and still wet. Blue air movers were placed in every room, aimed along the walls and under the furniture, and a dehumidifier was running in the main room with its cords run across the floor.
The crew moved belongings up off the floor and away from the walls where they could. Setting up drying equipment in every affected room on day one keeps the water from wicking further into the walls while the plan for tear-out and rebuild is made.
