What happened in Green Bay

This Green Bay basement, from April 2023, had water spread across a painted concrete floor and into the bottom of the walls. The crew extracted the standing water, pulled the wet trim and wall material, and set up drying equipment through the space.

The photos show air movers and a dehumidifier running in the hallway and side rooms, the opened wall along a utility area, and the water marks and residue left on the floor. Close-ups show the moisture meter and a thermo-hygrometer, which tracks the temperature and humidity in the air so the crew can tell whether the drying is on pace.

Painted concrete hides how much water soaked into the edges of a room. Checking along the walls and under the trim is how you find the moisture the floor doesn't show.

Work performed

  • Water extraction
  • Wet trim and wall material removed
  • Air movers and dehumidifier
  • Humidity and moisture readings

Water damage questions, answered

Does CCS Property Services do water damage in Green Bay?

Yes. This project was in Green Bay, WI 54302, and our crews work throughout Green Bay and the surrounding area. Our Green Bay office is about 7 miles away. This is one of 51 water damage projects we've published from Green Bay. Phones are answered 24/7 for emergencies.

What should I do in the first hour after a water leak?

Shut off the water at the main valve if you can, and turn off power to any wet area if it's safe to reach the panel. Move valuables and furniture off wet floors, take photos for insurance, and call a restoration company. Don't use a household vacuum on standing water.

How fast can CCS get to my home?

Phones are answered 24/7. In most cases we can have a crew on site within about an hour of your call for active water emergencies in the Green Bay area.

Does homeowners insurance cover water damage in Wisconsin?

Most policies cover sudden and accidental water damage, like a burst pipe or an appliance failure. Damage from long-term leaks or neglect usually isn't covered, and flooding from surface water typically needs separate flood coverage. Sump pump backup is often an add-on endorsement. We document the loss and work directly with your adjuster.

How long does it take to dry out a flooded basement?

Most structures dry in three to five days with professional equipment, depending on how much water there was, what materials got wet and the weather. We check moisture readings daily and only pull equipment when readings confirm it's dry.

Will I get mold after water damage?

Mold can start growing within 24 to 48 hours on wet drywall, wood and carpet. Fast extraction and drying is what prevents it, which is why we treat water damage as an emergency.

Do you handle the repairs too?

Yes. We dry out the structure and then rebuild what was removed, so you deal with one company from the first call to the finished room.
