What happened in Two Rivers
CCS inspected this home in Two Rivers on November 27, 2024, as a free mold assessment, and documented it with 12 photos. The owner received a written estimate for remediation.
Inside, the crew looked up at the ceilings in the upstairs rooms. In a room with a dark red ceiling, the paint along the edge where the ceiling meets the wall was spotted and discolored, and in another room small patches showed in the corners above the windows and along the top of the walls.
In the attic above, the board roof sheathing was dark gray to black across most of the bays, from the eaves up toward the peak, over pink insulation that had been disturbed in places. When the ceiling edges inside and the roof deck above both show growth, the cause is usually moist house air leaking into a cold attic, and the assessment checks ventilation and air sealing along with the mold itself.
