What happened in Neenah
CCS inspected this basement in Neenah on December 31, 2025, as a free mold assessment, and documented it with 37 photos. The owner received a written estimate for remediation.
The basement is finished with wood paneling over a carpeted floor, with a wood stairway, an older tiled area and a utility corner. A crew member pulled the carpet and pad back at the walls and took moisture readings on the wood plates and the paneling, where the bottom edge of the paneling was stained. Loose boards and debris lay along the base of the walls.
In the tiled area, the floor tiles were cracked and lifting in the corners, with dark staining and growth around them and at the base of the wall. A laser measure was used to size the rooms for the estimate. Paneling over a damp basement wall often hides the growth until the trim and carpet come up.
