What happened in Green Bay
CCS inspected this commercial building in Green Bay on April 5, 2024, as a free mold assessment, and documented it with 16 photos. The owner received a written estimate for remediation.
The building has block walls in its mechanical room and stairwell and offices with large windows and carpet. In the mechanical room and along a narrow utility corridor, the concrete floor was stained in a band along the walls. At the base of the stairwell, the floor and the lower block were dark with staining in the corners.
In the offices, the crew photographed the window sills one by one. The wood sills and the trim beneath the glass were water stained, swollen and coming apart, with dark growth along the joints and debris collected at the corners, and the drywall return beside one window was stained. Large commercial windows can let water in at the bottom of the frame, and the wood sill under the glass is where it shows up first.
