What happened in Hobart
This Hobart attic was approved for mold remediation at the end of August 2026. The crew logged 30 photos, and the ones here are from September 3.
The attic has board sheathing over wood rafters with loose insulation on the floor, and the crew photographed the length of the roof deck bay by bay. The photos also show a flexible exhaust duct run across the attic floor to a vent cover on the outside wall at the gable end, which sends the exhaust air outside instead of into the attic.
An exhaust fan that dumps warm, wet air into an attic is one of the most common causes of attic mold.
