What happened in Green Bay
CCS opened this mold remediation job in Green Bay on March 21, 2024, and has 107 photos. The set here is from March 29.
The house was new or nearly new, with an unfinished basement. The foundation walls are covered in white insulation blankets, the ceiling is open with wood floor joists, white PVC drain lines and wiring running through them, and there are new windows in the framed wall at one end.
The crew worked across the basement ceiling joist bay by joist bay, photographing the underside of the OSB subfloor. Dark spotting shows on the OSB in many bays and on some of the joists, spread across the whole ceiling rather than in one spot. New homes often have this problem: lumber and OSB that got wet during construction, then closed up in a damp basement before it dried, can grow mold within the first months.
