What happened in MacArthur Heights
CCS inspected this basement in the MacArthur Heights area of Green Bay as a free mold assessment. The project was opened on July 25, 2025, and the photos here are from August 13. The owner received a written estimate for remediation.
The basement has painted block walls, small windows near the ceiling and a concrete floor. Along the bottom of the walls the block was stained dark in a band, with black growth along the joint between the wall and the floor and up into the corners below the windows. The window frames themselves had dark growth on the sills.
The crew also checked the utility side: the water heater, the plumbing and drain lines, a laundry sink drain and a corner where the floor covering had lifted near the pipes. Basement windows set low in the foundation let in cold air and condensation, and the block beneath them is often where mold starts.
