What happened in Green Bay
CCS opened this mold remediation job in Green Bay on July 10, 2025, and logged 36 photos between July 18 and July 28.
The problem was in a garage wall next to the wooden steps up to the house door. On July 18 the wall was open. A crew member used a pointer to show the stained bottom plate and the base of the studs, and the OSB sheathing that had been cut out was photographed on the garage floor with dark staining across it. Insulation and a plastic vapor barrier were still in some of the stud bays.
By July 22 the framing was cleaned and exposed, and by July 28 the wall was going back together with new OSB on the lower section and new drywall above, finished up to the ceiling. Garage walls near the floor take on water from snow and rain tracked in on vehicles, so the bottom plate is a common place for mold to start.
