The photos focus on inside corners where two painted walls meet above the baseboard. In one corner, above a stained wood baseboard and carpet, the textured wall paint showed small dark spots and a hairline crack running up the corner. Other corners were photographed at the baseboard and higher up the wall, where a few dark specks showed on the paint.
Small spots in the corners of a room usually point to moisture in the air settling on the coolest part of the wall, often an outside corner with less insulation. An assessment looks at the humidity in the room and at the wall behind the spots before deciding how much needs to be removed.
