What happened in Astor
This basement in Green Bay's Astor neighborhood was approved for mold remediation at the end of May 2026. The crew logged 114 photos, and the ones here are from June 9.
The flooring had been taken up, leaving the concrete covered in dark residue from the old floor. Along the walls the drywall was cut out at the bottom, exposing the studs and bottom plates, and the baseboards were pulled and laid on the floor. One section of wall is finished in wood paneling, and the utility area holds the furnace and water heater.
Cutting the walls open at the floor lets the crew see and treat the framing where moisture and mold usually start in a basement.
