What happened in Larsen
CCS handled this private repair job in Larsen. The project was opened on December 31, 2025, and the 26 photos run into mid-January 2026.
The work centered on the kitchen, which has oak cabinets, an oak soffit and crown trim. A section of the ceiling above the upper cabinets had been cut open, and photos taken up into the opening show the plastic drain pipes and fittings running through the joist space. A moisture meter was held against the ceiling and the cabinet faces around the opening to check for wet material.
The crew also photographed the nearby rooms, including the bathroom with its tub surround and a carpeted bedroom. By January 14 the kitchen ceiling opening was still open for access, and a small access hole had been cut in a bedroom wall. Opening the ceiling under a bathroom is often the only way to reach the drain lines above a kitchen without tearing out more than needed.
Work performed
- Ceiling opened above the kitchen cabinets
- Drain lines in the ceiling inspected
- Moisture readings on the ceiling and cabinets
- Wall access hole cut in a nearby room
