What happened in Navarino
CCS inspected this home in the Navarino area of Green Bay on October 31, 2024, for a private repair estimate, and took 20 photos. The owner received a written estimate for the repair.
On the roof, the crew followed the line where the shingles meet the vinyl siding and the bottom of a door or window frame. The photos show gaps at that joint, exposed nail heads on the shingles right below the frame, a split in the trim at the corner and debris collected in the valley along the wall. The roof vents were also checked.
Inside, the ceiling in the room below showed water staining and a small opening near a light, and the crew measured the wall and the ceiling area for the repair. The joint where a lower roof meets a wall needs proper flashing, and when it fails, rain runs behind the siding and shows up on the ceiling inside.
