What happened in Sturgeon Bay
CCS answered this water emergency near Sturgeon Bay on May 28, 2024, and documented it with 134 photos. The set here is from June 1.
The floor covering was off in the affected rooms, leaving the subfloor and slab bare and stained where the water had spread. Along the walls the drywall had been cut just above the floor and the baseboards were off, so the crew could reach the bottom plates. In one room the walls were open to the studs.
A crew member worked around each room setting a moisture meter on the floor at the base of the wall and on the exposed plates, photographing every reading, while blue air movers ran along the walls. Moisture mapping like this a few days into a job shows which walls are drying on schedule and which need the equipment moved closer.
