What happened in Green Bay
Water got into this Green Bay basement in August 2022, and the carpet and pad had soaked it up across several rooms. The homeowner found CCS on Google.
The crew pulled the wet carpet and pad and took out the tack strip along the walls, since it holds water and rots fast. The photos show the bare concrete in the main room, the utility area and a storage room with shelving, and the carpet removed from the basement stairs.
Carpet pad is the part that can't be saved after a basement flood. It holds water like a sponge and starts to smell within a couple of days. Getting it out quickly and drying the slab and walls keeps the damage from spreading into the drywall.
