What happened in Cleveland
CCS inspected this basement in Cleveland on April 14, 2025, as a free mold assessment, and documented it with 10 photos. The owner received a written estimate for remediation.
The basement has painted block walls, a section of wall covered in OSB, and metal panels along one side. The concrete floor was dark and stained in a wide band along the walls and in the corners, with crumbling patches near an outlet and around the base of a large pipe. Old paint cans and stored boxes sat against several walls.
The photos go corner to corner around the room, including the bottom of the OSB wall where it meets the floor. Dark staining spread along the base of basement walls usually means water has been coming in or sitting there for some time, and stored cardboard and wood along those walls give mold an easy place to grow.
