What happened in Appleton
CCS handled this mold job in Appleton. The project was opened on June 5, 2025, and the photos here are from June 9.
This job was not a house. The air samples were taken inside a travel trailer. A sampling pump on a tripod was set in the middle of the trailer, first in the sleeping area at one end and then in the kitchen and living area with its herringbone floor. Another sample was taken outside for comparison, and the sample cassettes were sealed in a lab envelope to be sent off for analysis.
Campers and trailers are small, tightly sealed spaces that sit closed up for months, so humidity builds and mold can grow behind cabinets, under cushions and along the walls. Air sampling shows whether spore levels inside are higher than outdoors, which helps decide what cleaning the trailer needs.
